Kaziranga National Park
- Kaziranga National Park is located in the Golaghat and Nagaon districts of Assam.
- It was given the status of a National Park in the year 1974.
- Its total area is 430 km2.
- In the year 1985, along with Manas National Park, this national park was also included by UNESCO in its list of World Heritage Sites.
- It was declared a Tiger Reserve in the year 2007.
- Kaziranga National Park is famous for the one-horned rhinoceros and more than 90% of the world’s one-horned rhinoceros reside in Kaziranga National Park.

- Fauna like gaur, Asiatic elephant, bear, tiger, wild water buffalo, sambar deer, capped langur, sloth bear, etc. is found in Kaziranga National Park.

Manas National Park
- Manas National Park is located in the Chirang and Baksa districts of Assam on the border of Bhutan country.
- The total area of this national park is 500 km2.
- It was given the status of a National Park in the year 1990.
- The year 1985 Manas National Park was added to the list of World Heritage Cities by UNESCO.
- Project Tiger [the first Tiger Reserve of Assam State] and Project Elephant [Chirang-Ripu Elephant Reserve] are also operated in Manas National Park and it is a part of Manas Biosphere Reserve.
- It is named after the Manas River, a tributary of the Brahmaputra.

- 22 types of endangered species are found in Manas National Park.

Nameri National Park
- Nameri National Park is located in the foothills of the Himalayas in the Sonitpur district of Assam.
- It was given the status of Reserve Forest in the year 1978, Nameri Sanctuary in the year 1985, and National Park in the year 1998.
- The total area of Nameri National Park is 200 km2.
- Nameri National Park shares a boundary with the Pakhul/Pakke Wildlife Sanctuary of Arunachal Pradesh.
- In 1999-2000 it was declared the second tiger reserve of Assam.

Dibru Saikhova National Park

- This national park is located in the core area of Dibru Saikhowa Biosphere Reserve.
- It was given the status of a National Park in the year 1999.
- The total area of Dibru Saikhowa National Park is 350 km2.
- This national park is bounded by the Brahmaputra and Lohit Rivers in the north and the Dibru River in the south.

- It was declared as a sanctuary in the year 1985 and as a national park in 1999.
- Its total area is 78.81 km2.
- The Pachnoi and Dhansiri tributaries of the Brahmaputra River form the eastern and western boundaries of this national park respectively.

- Grasslands cover 60% of the area of this national park and swamps and water bodies cover 12% of the area.
Raimona National Park
- Raimona National Park is located in the Kokrajhar district of Assam.
- On 5 June 2021, on the occasion of World Environment Day, Raimona National Park was declared the 6th National Park of Assam State by the Chief Minister of Assam State Hemant Biswa Sharma.
- The total area of this national park is 422 km2.
- The Sankosh River, a tributary of the Brahmaputra River, forms the western boundary of this national park, the Saralbhanga River forms the eastern boundary and the Pekua River forms the southern boundary.

- This national park is famous for the golden langur, the mascot of the Bodoland region of the state of Assam.
- More than 150 species of butterflies and more than 170 species of birds are found here.

Dihing Patkai National Park

- Dihing River flows through this national park and this park is situated in the foothills of Patkai Hills.
- The total area of this national park is 231.65 km2.
- This national park is also a part of Project Elephant.
